Tag Manager

Edit page tags to affect how search engines process your site by using the tag manager, where you can set sitewide tags or page-specific tags.

To access the Tag Manager, start by heading to your admin panel by clicking the wrench and screwdriver icon (in the top right corner of your screen once you’re logged in as an admin) → Edit Site Settings → SEO → click to expand the Tag Manager drop-down.

Use the tools seen under Defaults to create default tagging protocols for your SourceAudio pages. The text seen within this section provides a thorough explanation of these tools.

Page Tag Rules allow for tagging of a specific page within your SourceAudio site. Fill out a ruleset for each page as needed, in the following manner:

EXAMPLE:

  • URL to Match: #!albums (Enter The URL Of The Page This Rule Set Should Affect, But Only Enter The URL After The Last “/“. For Most Pages, This Will Be “#!” And Then Some Text. This Example Would Impact The Album Page Of The Site.)
  • Page Title: Albums|{pageDetail} (Enter Text, Variables As Listed Under Defaults, And Pipes As Desired To Create Your Page’s Title As It Will Appear In A Web Search And In A Browser Tab.)
  • Description: A great place to find music! (This Text Should Describe The Page And Will Display In Grey Under The Header And URL Of The Page Listing On A Google Search.)
  • Keywords: music, movie music, film music (Words For Google’s Search Engines To Factor Into Its Results.)

Click to Add New Rule for as many pages as needed, and click to Save Changes when you’re all done.

Page Aliases

Page alias tools allow you to customize URLs of specific pages of your site.

To access page alias tools, start by heading to your admin panel by clicking the wrench and screwdriver icon (in the top right corner of your screen once you’re logged in as an admin) → Edit Site Settings → SEO → click to expand the Page Alias drop-down.

Read about page aliases under About, and use the tools seen under Alias Rules to customize URLs of specific pages of your site.

On the left in the “URL or Pattern” box, enter the current URL of the page in question, starting after the last “/“. For most pages, this will be “#!” and then some text.

On the right, enter your new custom URL starting with a “#!”. This will impact search engine results.

EXAMPLE:

  • URL or pattern: #!albums
  • Page Title: #!music-company-rock-collection

Save changes in the bottom right when you’re finished and the changes will take effect in real time.
